The majesty of two monitors...Musical scores that span tens of inches. It's a beautiful thing.

What midi keyboard do you have and what speaker system (monitors) do you use?
Marius Masalar 13 Feb, 2009
Hey Ernest!
I use an Alesis QS7.1 synth workstation as my MIDI keyboard, and the speakers are a Logitech Z-5500 5.1 setup — used in conjunction with a pair of Sony MDR-V600 headphones for balanced mastering.

Great desk, what kind of monitors do you have?
Tom Barber 15 Sep, 2009
Are they the Apple Cinema 23s?
What do think of them?
I was thinking of getting one.
Marius Masalar 15 Sep, 2009
Hi Nelson!
The "monitors" are in fact just a 5.1 surround sound speaker set from Logitech, like I mentioned to Ernest above. I mostly master using headphones, these speakers, and my car speakers.
Tom, they are indeed the 23s and I absolutely adore them. They're a lot larger than I was expecting and I have a great deal of screen real estate to work with, which is nice when dealing with many tracks in my DAW.

I know what you mean, I just love composing on bigger monitors makes the task more enjoyable.
