It is definitely sufficient for boot. I have my PC extremely organized with my data on all of the HDD's. I currently have 12.2gb free on the SSD. The big thing if your going this small though, is make sure your swap files are off of the SSD. They are 4gb which is huge on a 32gb drive.
It's actually just the food channel haha, but I have it set up so the xbox can use my whole media library that is on my NAS over the network. I also have it set up so I can use Windows Media Center off of my main desktop. It's all over gigabit, it works extremely well.
@Kaush K: It is just rope lights wrapped around the back of my monitors. I will tweet you a picture of it later tonight if you want.
