Thanks, I just moved into a new apartment 2 days ago and this is actually in a nook under my loft bed. The desk fits perfectly with a 1/2 inch to spare.

Stone wall in Brooklyn? I can only imagine the number of decomposing bodies that are entombed within its otherwise "cozy" façade. If you hear knocking I suggest you don't answer. ;)

+1 for the stone wall. Looks like a productive setup. What's underneath the laptop and what mouse are you using?

Profile photo for

Yes, Chris, please! What's the rig holding your MacBook up off the desk?

Stefan and David:
The thing under the laptop is a Griffin Laptop Stand.

The mouse is a Logitech Cordless Mx Revolution.

Duputy Rob:
I live on the parlor floor of a brownstone that was built in 1862. That is there the brick wall comes from.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!

Lovin the brick wall. Classic meats modern. Nice setup. Do you like using the laptop as a desktop; as apposed to desktop computer?

This is ballin' on a whole new level. Love how the desk works with brick wall and the lighting. The display and MBP just set it off. Really really nice setup you have there.

Ryan: Thanks! I am a freelancer so I tend to take my laptop into my clients office everyday during the week. Overall I love using the laptop over a desktop just for the simple fact that it doesn't take up a lot of space and I can unplug it and put it in my bag in less that a minute and I'm off to wherever I need to go.

Kielan: Thanks for the kind words.

Lovely desk you've got going. I'm going for something similar when I design my new apartment this summer.

Yep, I can second the admiration for the stone wall. That gives off such a beautiful charm, together with the lamps. And it makes for a nice contrast to your gizmo. ;-)
