Do you find the 32 GB SSD to be sufficient for boot? I know Windows 7 only takes up like 18 GB and I don't have a lot of programs, but still it seems everyone recommends at least 64 GB for a boot SSD.
Does OBi charge for service like Magic Jack does? With all this new VoIP and SIP type stuff I'm wondering if there's a practical way to get free phone service.
It is definitely sufficient for boot. I have my PC extremely organized with my data on all of the HDD's. I currently have 12.2gb free on the SSD. The big thing if your going this small though, is make sure your swap files are off of the SSD. They are 4gb which is huge on a 32gb drive.
OBI doesn't doesn't charge a recurring fee. Unlike Magic Jack (requires dedicated PC) or Nettalk Duo (requires subscription but no dedicated PC), it doesn't need a dedicated PC or subscription plan. If you want, let me know and I'll put up some more photos of it with measurements. Also, OBI has a 100 coming out which is about the side of a mouse (computer, not rodent).
To really answer the question, you can use any VOIP service on it like Skype and use any good old fashioned phone with an RJ-11 jack. As for me, I use Google Voice with it which is free until the end of 2011 and even longer if Google keeps it free.
